Basset Hound Walkers at Exmouth

Once upon a time, this was our Basset walk at Exmouth. Can we recapture this excitement again?

This will be the ninth time we have hit Exmouth - which along with Burnham beach - seems to attract the most hounds. As low tide that day is 11.45am we will have ample time to get round the point to the long beach leading to he café. Those who've done the walk before will know that we have a good half-mile walk along the grassy Maer before we hit the beach.

The whole walk is just four miles with a café at half way round, so only two really . . .

Directions to the start are: Follow the A376 right in to Exmouth (keeping to right at traffic lights). At the roundabout by station and Marks & Spencer, go right at the 2nd exit and follow signs to seafront. Drive along the front, past the Premier Inn. Look for a new water sports centre on your right just before a Z bend. If you drive past the Z bend you've missed the entrance (on your left). The postcode is I believe EX8 2GD. Be prepared, the car park is not cheap.

Meet at 10.30 as usual.
